The Inspiration
Living in a remote Oregon town for about two years, far from the hustle of Las Vegas where I spent most of my adult life, it became clear what truly fulfills me.
Meeting new people and learning their life story has always fascinated me. I love discovering their unique qualities, listening to what makes them happy, recalling great memories, and hearing about their challenges. Often, people would ask me for my opinion and insight about their situations. I was happy to help.
‘If you love what you do for a living, you’ll never work another day in your life.’In today’s world, where friendships, likes, and followers are accumulated through mobile devices, it is easy to feel disconnected. A growing number of people crave human connection in our current age of bots and AI. Recognizing this need, I created a service that brings two people together, you and me, one-on-one, and promotes meaningful conversations.
Why Canary?
A longtime friend playfully called me Canary, Sheri Canary, and Miss Canary. I have no idea why she chose Canary, but it stuck! The name brings back fond memories.
I chose to use Canary in my business name because it is a constant reminder of how many incredibly kind and helpful people there are in this world. It makes me happy.
There is nothing else I would rather be doing than working to help make someone’s day a little better.
